ABOUT: This story traces the deep roots of the Santiago family's mezcal tradition in Matatlan, Oaxaca, where the family-owned distillery sits in the heart of mezcal country. Gerardo “Kaín” Santiago Hernandez, a fourth-generation mezcalero, has honed his craft from childhood, mastering the art of mezcal production passed down through generations. His intuitive expertise and deep connection to the land enable the creation of Hedonistas de la Fe's superior mezcal, a spirit that embodies the family's dedication and the rich cultural heritage of Oaxaca.
